1940 Hubley, Cast Iron Texan Repeating Pistol in Original Box

1940 Hubley, Cast Iron Texan Repeating Pistol in Original Box

Here's one of the most popular guns ever made. This is Hubley's "Texan Repeating Pistol". Not die cast metal, but early cast iron with polished nickel finish. Unused, near mint+ condition, has never fired a single cap. Comes complete with its scarce original box.

This repeating cap gun features extensive engraving on both sides including the barrel, frame, and bullet chamber cover. Chamber release is a small lever on the left side of the gun behind the bullet chamber. Clicking the trigger causes the hammer to fire and bullet cylinder revolves.

It has its original white plastic grips with raised steer head on both sides. Plus a red painted star medallion.

The box features a four color illustration showing the Texan mounted on his horse standing on a small bluff overlooking a cattle drive. A second cowboy in the background is just about to lasso a critter. Product name, catalog number, company name and address are printed on the sides and endflaps. Overall a really solid box.
